APPLICATION ENGINEER

Employment Type: Full Time

Position Objective: Responsible for the product application and support of HVAC control systems, including design, programming, project management, technical sales support, and commissioning/service.

The Essential Functions of the position include the following:

Devise, Implement, and Review control system designs/plans for small–large projects incorporating sequence of operations, and integration with heating and cooling plants
Interface with property owners, facility managers, building managers, controls integrators, and contractors on technical issues associated with controls network
Survey and analyze existing HVAC and control equipment to provide conversion plan for retrofit projects
Develop and maintain controls specifications, drawings, and documentation to support controls system design, sales, and support

Qualifications:

Degree in electrical or mechanical engineering, or technical degree in HVAC control systems
Basic computer networking proficiency required, especially with LANs, Hubs, Routers, etc.
Strong communication, presentation, training, and technical writing skills
Analytical approach to problem solving
Team oriented, self-motivated, and likes to work hands-on
Prepared to travel locally out of the office as required by the project
Technical Experience or Training on following items is a plus
- Controls systems in HVAC industry
- DDC controls and building management system
- PLC devices, programming, and integration
- Building automation industry standards such as BACnet and Lon Mark
- Comprehensive training on the above items will be made available

BAS SALES ENGINEER

Employment Type: Full Time

Position Objective: Work as a technical sales consultant to engineers, architects, owners/developers, and contractors in design, application, and sales of Building Automation solutions for commercial, industrial, and institutional buildings.

The Essential Functions of the position include the following:

Sell integrated Building Automation Systems
Respond to client needs by identifying products, generating quotes, and following up on purchase orders
Develop client relationships
Conduct price estimates and quotations for projects
Conduct customer visits and attend customer events to build relationships with key accounts
Monitor and track quoted projects

Qualifications:

Degree in electrical or mechanical engineering is a plus
Ability to analyze and interpret construction plans, specifications, and contract documents
Strong communication, presentation, and technical writing skills
5 plus years’ experience in a Sales position

BAS TECHNICIAN

Employment Type: Full Time

Position Objective: Responsible for start-up and commissioning of DDC and HVAC temperature control systems.

The Essential Functions of the position include the following:

Commission, maintain, and troubleshoot HVAC and DDC control systems to ensure proper installation and operation
Installation and wiring of temperature control devices

Qualifications:

Technical experience with DDC controls and building management systems
Able to read wiring diagrams
Analytical approach to troubleshooting and problem solving
Team oriented, self-motivated, and likes to work hands-on
Technical Experience or Training on following items is a plus
- Controls systems in HVAC industry
- DDC controls and building management system
- PLC devices, programming, and integration
- Building automation industry standards such as BACnet and Lon Mark
- Comprehensive training on the above items will be made available

Distech Controls

In 2008, Advantex Solutions became an authorized representative of Distech Controls to provide our clients with a LON control system, an open protocol control system. Our LON control system will provide our clients with control solutions with flexibility and the ability to integrate various HVAC equipment under one control system.
